We get it. An adjustment to your membership isn’t fun. At Clubsportive, it’s our mission to provide you with a premium fitness experience. That’s why you can count on us for the latest and greatest fitness equipment, top-notch trainers, and that unbeatable premium experience. In order to continue to meet this promise, we unfortunately cannot avoid adjusting our membership fees as of January 1, 2024.

Yes, we can adjust our membership fees every year. Okay, this might be a bit technical, but we are allowed to adjust (index) our membership fees annually with the consumer price index percentage. If this is the case, we have to send you an email with a minimum of 1 month’s notice.

You can also find this in our general Terms and Conditions. We follow the CPI of CBS in this regard.

Some members are indexed above the consumer price index percentage. They are allowed to cancel their membership within the first 30 days, please keep in mind you have a 4 weeks notice period.

The CPI (Consumer Price Index) percentage shows the average price development annually within the Netherlands. The Dutch government and businesses frequently use it to agree on certain price developments.   

The index percentage may vary depending on your current membership fee. When your membership fee is much lower compared to others in the club, the adjustment can be higher. This way, all membership fees are more aligned. But… We did our best to keep your membership fee lower than the fee for members that join us today.  

You can find your new membership fee in a personal email you received from us on November 30, 2023. These fees differ per club and membership type. If you have not seen this email, please check your SPAM or contact our Customer Care department via the contact form here.

The amount in the email is the basic membership fee without any promotions or discounts. The amount you pay may therefore be lower due to a discount you receive. These discounts (also for corporate fitness members) also remain applicable to your new membership fee in 2024.

Yes, your new fee will take effect once your free period ends.

The change will take effect with your first direct debit on or after January 1st, 2024.

If your membership has been adjusted by a percentage higher than the CPI price index and you are within your minimum term period set out in your membership contract, you have the option to cancel until December 30, 2023 via this page. In that case, your membership will be terminated as of January 1, 2024. However, after December 30, 2023, the right to cancel your membership will expire.

If your membership is indexed with a percentage lower than the CPI price index and you have a membership of 1 year or longer, you will not be able to exit your membership term early. This price indexation is allowed within your current membership terms and, therefore, is not a valid reason to cancel early.  

If you are no longer in contract, you can cancel anytime by giving one month notice.
